Several Blue Jackets Recognized at the Biggest Tournament in the Country
Several players from the MVP Blue Jackets 18u team were honored by making Perfect Game's 2016 WWBA Northeast Qualifier All-Tournament Team. Over 110 teams and 2000 players from all across the country participated in this tournament. Of those 2000+ players, four Blue Jackets were nominated to the All-Tournament Team. Jordan Choman, 2017 graduate of Holy Redeemer high school; Ken Macko, 2018 graduate of Meyers high school; Simon Peter, 2018 graduate of G.A.R. high school; Tanner Williams, 2017 graduate of Wyoming Area high school were the chosen ones.
The Blue Jackets matched up against Farrah Scout, East Coast Lumberjacks, and the Monroe Braves. Although the Blue Jackets didn't win their pool to advance to championship play, they competed with teams that had more than half their rosters committed to division 1 and division 2 schools. Needless to say, everyone on the MVP Blue Jackets 18u roster has the ability and potential to play at the collegiate level. Most Blue Jacket 18u players are 2017 graduates and are looking forward to making their commitments if they haven't already. Stay tuned to see where these young men make their homes.
